I amazed by this post! Visotsky wasn't part of official Soviet culture, but he was very popular. First, he was an outstanding actor, and after was the poet and singer. His song about friendship, life, peace and love are amazing. Soviet government banned him as singer, but on his "underground" concerts were a lot of people and from every house you could hear his songs. This is one of the best his song. Background means a lot. Change the topic - it's fucking silly for a musician of your scale not to know the history of music you play.
